The factory was established in 1935 using French LIP machinery and became the Soviet Union’s premier women’s watch manufacturer. Solid 14K (583) rose gold case hallmarked on the caseback with the Soviet five-pointed star, hammer and sickle, 583 purity mark, and serial number 81077. The warm rose gold tone is characteristic of Soviet gold’s higher copper alloy content. Cushion-shaped dial with applied Arabic numerals, gold-tone hands, and subtle sunburst guilloche center pattern — all original. Elegant teardrop/stirrup lugs connect to an openwork geometric-link bracelet. Dial signed ЗАРЯ with ГЧЗ ПЕНЗА at 6 o’clock. This watch runs. Crystal needs replacement (shows scratches from decades of honest wear) and may benefit from regulation. Case shows age-appropriate surface wear consistent with a piece that was genuinely loved and worn. ∙ 14K (583) Solid Rose Gold case — hallmarked ∙ Mechanical hand-wind movement ∙ Serial: 81077 ∙ Era: Late 1950s–1960s ∙ Original dial, hands, and bracelet Solid Soviet gold with real history. The gold alone has intrinsic melt value — as a running collectible timepiece, it’s worth considerably more.
