VCC0074 Studded Star Brim Felt Cowboy Hat。This is such a beautiful hat from the fashionable 40s\'! The hat is made of velour felt and has a small downturned brim. The crown is tall , slants down towards the back, and is indented at the top. The crown is dotted by gold metal studs. There is a brown grosgrain band around the crown which ends in a bow at the back. Additionally there is a piece of brown veiling around the crown which is tied together at the back. This veiling is removable, and not wide enough to cover the face. There is an elastic band attached to the inside to help keep the hat in place. The wartime 40’s saw a huge variety of hats that were suitable for any face shape, hairstyle or personal preference. Throughout the war & on both sides of the Atlantic, elaborate creations brightened dreary utility fashions, brought about by rationing. The only items not rationed were hat materials. Explosions of feathers, veiling & artificial flowers were popular. Label: GENUINE VELOUR SUEDE There is no designer label, indicating it was a custom-made creation. This hat is in wonderful vintage condition & has been lovingly preserved among over 1300 vintage hats we have collected for 40+ years.
